We hired David Williams and his team about a year ago for the closing of our new house build, they were great to work with, very professional, and always easy to contact.

At the same time I was involved in a motor vehicle accident and David took on my file. Once him and his team were involved they took care of everything and kept me informed throughout the whole process.

To say we were satisfied with his work is an understatement. And we wouldn’t hesitate to use their services again.

Thanks David, and to the whole team at O’dea Earle

I used one of their lawyers for closing on a home purchase. Went in for document signing and the service was on-point. Very flexible working with them around little roadblocks. Will certainly recommend.

Edit: The gentleman (lawyer) I worked with was Padraig Mohan and he is especially worthy of mentioning… so I came to edit this review. He took the pains to explain every step of the process ahead of time, and his team always kept us one step ahead to make an otherwise stressful endeavor much easier. He also has a very quick response time by email – which I really appreciated. I would certainly be working with him again for my next purchase when the time comes. 😉🙏 Great job, Padraig. Thanks! Thumbs up to the entire O’Dea & Earle team.

I called approximately a week and a half ago to get a document notarized. They took my name and number and said someone would call me back. Haven’t received a phone call. Nothing.

I used W. Les Thistle Law in purchasing my Commercial Property and it was the ‘easiest’ most ‘simplest’ experience. They took care of all necessary details and the transition was seamless. They were very courteous, helpful and amiable. I would highly recommend and will use them again in future, no hesitation whatsoever. Kudos!

My spouse recently sold a house through Thistle Law and had several last minute issues; The documents were sent from out of province and the lady dealing with them thought skype would be sufficient for signing then found out 4 days before close that it was not leaving us scrambling to find a Commissioner of Oath and Fedex to send the documents as fast as possible back to NL adding costs. Then on close day it got delayed due to the purchaser and the costs got handed over to us to pay which is unreasonable if the buyer did not have their act together they should pay the cost difference property tax and I suspect the mortgage payment will come out also. I would not recommend using this Law office the communication is lack luster and very vague. The day the house did close was late apparently when they received the funds and did not deposit in my acct until I actually phoned and left a message the next day around 2 pm absolutely unprofessional conduct by a lawyers office. This will be the 5th time I have been involved in selling real estate and have never had this experience.

We initially reached out with an inquiry, and were recommended to forward our information and ask to Susan Hounsell, suggesting this was within the scope of her expertise. We sent our inquiry directly to Ms. Hounsell through email, along with associated documentation, and had no response back. After almost a week, we followed up via phone and were told we would get a phone call back. Again, we had no follow up. We made a final phone call attempt and again were told our message was passed on, but did not receive a response. We understand that our situation might not be suitable for Ms. Hounsell or their firm, but we are very disappointed at the lack of consideration to provide follow up or feedback that they could not handle our request.

I highly recommend this firm when going about purchasing or selling your home. Tobi and his team was excellent in all areas that was needed for the sale of our home he makes sure the I’s are dotted and T’s are crossed when it comes to both parties. He made such a great experience for us even though we were in a completely different province. I also would recommend this firm for any estate related stuff as well as they are very diverse in that area as well. For pricing it was amazing and affordable I thought it was gonna cost us an arm and a leg but Tobi is completely fair and honest. Thanks again

Hired this law firm. After roughly 8 months I dropped them. Every question I had was never answered, was completely ignored with no response. They showed they didn’t care anything about my case by putting zero effort into it. Unless your a big money case dint waste your time. They will show you zero care and help.

Review based on my recent experience of having M&H work on a corporate amendment. Two stars for the reasons below: 1) There were a lot of errors in the amendment documents they prepared, such as wrong-spelling of shareholder name, unclear references in the amended Article of Incorporation, etc.. After I went through their work, I had to send a long email instructing all the errors to be fixed. I would expect the quality of being prudent as a basic for a law firm. 2) They never picked up the registered mail I sent and it was returned to me at the end. After they told me to send the package to them again, I decided to send it directly to the Registry of Companies, which seemed to be a more secured solution. I can understand delay in pickup due to the impact of pandemic, however, no pick-up for over a month was not expected. 3) They never provided a quote on the service fees even after I asked a couple times at the beginning of my inquiry. Fees charged was only disclosed on the final billing with a $75+tax admin fees on top of the service fee. I don’t know what the admin fee is for; have never seen it on any other law firm’s bills. This wasn’t as a big deal as the first two points mentioned but I thought other people might be interested in knowing. Overall, substandard service. Two stars instead of one because at the end the work was done. However, I didn’t expect such an experience, especially after I pointed out the exact items to be amended at the very beginning. I could have saved almost $500 if I have done it on my own.
