Ghost Central is how I would describe Randstad Quebec City.

After applying for a job and being considered for it, Jessica told me she forgot about me. She then offered me an interview with either her or Nadia. I am an anglophone, and prefer my interviews in English, so I chose Nadia.

I informed Nadia when she finally got in touch with me, I was busy and when I would be free and needed a job on the table before we spoke. No point in doing an interview if there isn’t a job.

    No response to that e-mail.

As of this review, it’s been three weeks since I heard ANYTHING from Randstad Quebec City. To be candid, this is how they operate. They ghost so many people they need the Ghostbusters to clean house.

My open and free advice to any candidate seeking a job is to avoid them, or if you do engage with them, don’t get your hopes up, they’ve been like this for 20 years.

I did send an e-mail to the one Andre gave, no response, same to their social media profile.

I had a disappointing experience with Randstad. The recruiter in Quebec did not seem to know the company I was applying for well and she did not inform me that I would have to spend the majority of my interview in English. Half an hour after my interview, I received her call and she insisted more than once to know if I wanted to continue my process even though I kept telling her that I needed to take the time to think about it. Finally, she told me that she would contact the person responsible for the interview and that she would contact me afterwards and I heard nothing.

I love the position that Marie and Lori found for me and I would like to point out that they did it in record time. Also, I was very well supported and without reservation I would recommend the agency to anyone looking for a job.

Aleanza has made the process of finding the right employees so much easier and manageable. I have hired three employees through them and recommend them to everyone. Our advisor, Tamara, understood our organization and the type of person we needed and the candidates she proposed were excellent.

What more can I say than WONDERFUL. I had the chance to work with Sylvie. I felt comfortable, important and listened to throughout the process. It’s reassuring to have a reference point like this that you trust. This was my first experience with Aleanza and hopefully not my last. I had the chance to take an amazing Nova personality test that taught me a lot about myself. In addition, I had outstanding support. Attentive and warm people. Thank you for everything Sylvie.

The Best Temp Agencies in Canada: References and Resources

Temporary work or temporary employment (also called gigs) refers to an employment situation where the working arrangement is limited to a certain period of time based on the needs of the employing organization. Temporary employees are sometimes called "contractual", "seasonal", "interim", "casual staff", "outsourcing", "freelance"; or the words may be shortened to "temps". In some instances, temporary, highly skilled professionals (particularly in the white-collar worker fields, such as human resources, research and development, engineering, and accounting) refer to themselves as consultants. Increasingly, executive-level positions (e.g. CEO, CIO, CFO, CMO, CSO) are also filled with interim executives or fractional executives.Temporary work is different from secondment, which is the assignment of a member of one organization to another organization for a temporary period, and where the employee typically retains their salary and other employment rights from their primary organization but they work closely within the other organization to provide training and the sharing of experience.
Temporary workers may work full-time or part-time depending on the individual situation. In some instances, temporary workers receive benefits (such as health insurance), but usually benefits are only given to permanent employees as a cost-cutting measure by the employer to save money. Not all temporary employees find jobs through a temporary employment agency. With the rise of the Internet and gig economy (a labor market characterized by the prevalence of short-term contracts or freelance work as opposed to permanent jobs), many workers are now finding short-term jobs through freelance marketplaces: a situation that brings into being a global market for work.A temporary work agency, temp agency or temporary staffing firm finds and retains workers. Other companies, in need of short-term workers, contract with the temporary work agency to send temporary workers, or temps, on assignments to work at the other companies. Temporary employees are also used in work that has a cyclical nature, requiring frequent adjustments to staffing levels.
